RAILROAD OVERPASS
Acylic on textile, 6 sheets of 50 x 250 cm, suitcase

The work was exhibited at the Art Festival Shangrila
in Joshua Tree, California, September 2015.
Railroad Overpass depicts the the railroad overpass
at Sydhavn Station. The motif is painted on synthetic textile, cut
in 6 slices, hanging behind each other into the suitcase used for
the transportation of the work. The horizontal picture becomes spatial
and fragmented, and the rhythmical, repetitive aspects of the composition
are underlined. The thin textile is waving in the wind from the
desert at Joshua Tree.
The Suitcase Project was the contribution of the exhibition
space Sydhavn Station for the Art Festival Shangrila.
Each of us 10 artists running the exhibition space, made a work
which could be transported and exhibited in 10 identical suitcases.

works in the landscape, in the house and in another container.
