Ljudmilla and her grandson Vanja are sorting out old sewing-magzines
and patterns for embroidering. There are patterns on how to knit
a nice tea cosy, how to make a babyblanket with applied animals
made from bits of cloth and how to knit curtains from twine. And
they give advice on brushing up boring and unfashionable clothes
by re-stitching it a little.
A lot of her sparetime Ljudmilla spends in her gardenhouse and by
cooking. She works as a geo-chemist by monitoring the industrial
pollution of the river Angara, wich runs north from the lake Baikal,
through Irkutsk.
